The Accommodation Manager occupies a key role within the Senior Team and assumes overall responsibility for the coordination of all student and staff accommodation in the centre. The Accommodation Manager must provide a first-class service for students, whilst also achieving and maintaining the high standards required and upholding the good name of Bede's Summer School.

The Accommodation Manager must work collaboratively with the Welfare Manager, Senior House Parents and House Parents to create a home-from-home that fosters, respect, understanding, and inclusiveness.

Much preparation work assigning students to bedrooms before their arrival will be undone when they arrive (as many of them may be unhappy with their assigned room and/or roommate). This can be incredibly frustrating for the Accommodation Manager who must implement Bede's accommodation policies, achieve an operationally effective accommodation service, and satisfy as many students as possible.

The Managers' office is the centre of the Summer School, it can be busy and intense at times, especially on arrival and departure days and during student free time (when many things can be happening at the same time), any arising accommodation issues must be dealt with efficiently, sympathetically and effectively.
