There is not a deadline, we will accept bookings as long as we have a space available for your nationality/language (Bede's aims at enrolment caps of 20% of any spoken native language enrolments per operational week.). Our smaller centres such as Eastbourne and Brighton can fill up quickly, so it is better to book as soon as possible.

How should I manage my child's pocket money?
You should set your child up with a prepaid currency or debit card designed for juniors in advance of their course. Bede's Summer School aims to operate cashless campuses for both administrative and security purposes. With the number of cashless premises increasing all the time in the UK, havng a prepaid card to use when in stores to buy souvenirs or food Having a card linked to an app or online account means that parents can also monitor spending, add extra funds if a student is running low or freeze/cancel the card in case it is lost.
09
What happens with my son/daughter’s medication?
If your child is taking medication, they must hand it in when they arrive. All medication must be kept safe in the Centre Director’s office and not in students’ bedrooms. Medication is given to students at the prescribed time by an authorised member of Bede’s staff, usually the Welfare Manager or Nurse. We will only accept responsibility for medicines which are licenced in the UK, prescribed by a doctor and which are accompanied by an English translation that states the name of the medicine, the dosage and frequency it should be taken and the condition for which it is prescribed. Please note that all medication must be brought in original, unbroken packaging featuring the student’s name (if prescription) and a copy of the prescription should be supplied. Failure to provide this information will result in our Nurses and/or Pastoral Staff being unable to administer medication.

My son is 12 years old, but I want to enrol him at a centre where the minimum age is 13. Is this possible?
Bede’s has developed age ranges suitable to the campuses and courses that the School delivers. The School is not obligated to accept any students out of age range. In exceptional circumstances where certain criterion is met, requests will be considered on an individual basis and risk assessed by the Summer School Director, who will make the final decision. These requests will not be considered for students more than one year older or younger than the published age range of any centre or course offered by the School.

Why do you need a copy of my child’s passport?
