Easter Plus10-17 years
Easter Plus is a brand new Bede's programme for 2024 with 18 hours of study per week. Offering a similar course structure to our popular English Plus course, students will enjoy this wonderful international programme in the British countryside. Students will experience lessons, activities and excursions delivered from the wonderful Bede’s Dicker School in the heart of the Sussex countryside. The superb academic, sporting and leisure facilities on campus ensure this course will offer an unforgettable learning experience.
The Programme
Description
English Skills focus on developing students' general knowledge in English and ability to communicate effectively and accurately in everyday situations and different contexts. Students will be tested, challenged, supported and stimulated.

Description
Communication Skills lessons enable the students to practise the language they've learned during English Skills and activities/excursions and develop their communication skills through a variety of tasks and communication techniques.

Familiarise students with the places they are going to visit during excursions via authentic learning materials (leaflets, magazines, adverts, films, TV).

Description
Easter Project is aimed at getting students involved in their own learning, allowing them to do research on a project they are assigned to, plan, implement and evaluate, working as part of a team.

After lessons, students participate in a range of sports and recreational activities. This provides the opportunity to carry on learning outside the classroom in small, supervised groups at the same time as having some fun. Sometimes, students will be able to choose their preferred sport or activity.

Description
A full programme of organised and supervised social events is offered every evening to encourage students to make new friends and develop their social skills. By actively encouraging the mixing of nationalities, we are helping to create a harmonious international community in which students can live, study in a safe and comfortable environment and enjoy themselves.

SATURDAY EXCURSION SCHEDULE
Description
Excursions are a mandatory part of the programme. We offer students the opportunity to visit places of cultural and historical interest, as well as the chance for sightseeing, shopping and amusement.

Wednesdays
Wednesday trips are a full-day excursions to near by attractions, and visiting London. Every excursion will include an entrance to an attraction or museum.
Saturdays
Saturday excursions are a full day trip and include a cultural, touristic or recreational visit to London or another place of interest such as British Museum, Buckingham Palace, London Dungeon, London Eye, London Zoo, Madame Tussauds, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Thorpe Park, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey.
Sundays
The Sunday excursions will be to either a local theme park or historical town with a local atrraction.
Description
Our Academies Programme offers expert instruction to students looking to develop their skills, technique and confidence in certain sports and leisure activities.

Further Information
The Academies Programme is suitable for all abilities from beginner to advanced level.
Instruction is given by qualified Bede's or external sports' coaches.
Students can choose 1 Academy option per week.
Academies take place instead of the regular afternoon Sports & Activities.
Dates & Fees
Bede's Easter Plus course will be running for three weeks from the 24 March - 13 April 2024. Students can arrive on any Sunday and depart on any Saturday.
The recommended minimum stay is two weeks. To maximize the benefit of your experience, you should consider a 3 week course.
The fully-inclusive course fee is £1295 per week for a residential student. This includes a return transfer (see Terms&Conditions) and travel insurance. There is no supplement for collecting a UM.
LALIGA Football Camps UK will also be running during Easter from the 31 March - 13 April 2024. The renewed course will welcome footballers from all over the world for three wonderful programmes:
Football & Language: £1645 per week
Complete Football: £1495 per week
Day Student (Complete Football): £745 per week
The Course
Age range 10 to 17 yrs. Averaging around 30 students per week from different countries to ensure a close-knit community. Limits for each nationality to ensure a good mix.
There is a full programme of lessons, sports, activities, social events and excursions, all of which are mandatory and included in the fee.
There are 18 hours of lessons per week including English Skills, Communication Skills and Easter Project. Maximum 16 students per class. Weekly progress checks to monitor students' performance.
8 levels are available from A0 (Complete Beginner) to C2 (Proficiency). Entry test on Monday with a speaking, grammar and writing component.
Horse Riding and Tennis. Supplements are payable. Academies are subject to availability and a minimum number of enrolments.
The centre
Tennis courts, sports hall, swimming pool, gym, squash courts, astro-turf, playing fields, drama theatre, dance studios, IT suites, art studios.
Boys and girls will have the amazing opportunity to enjoy exclusive en-suite accommodation in a new boarding house open to students in 2022.
Most bedrooms are single, with a few doubles available. Storage space is available.
Students who share bedrooms will be accommodated with children of similar age and from different countries.
Dorms boarding house has its own communal spaces for students to relax, featuring a theatre style TV room and sofas/armchairs to relax in on each floor.
Bede’s staff provide excellent care for students 24 hours a day and live in the same sleeping areas as the students. Dedicated Staff look after the students in each boarding house. Excellent staff:student ratios (typically 1:5). Individual attention provided. There is a surgery led by a qualified nurse several times a week and access to a doctor if required.
Healthy meals with a mix of English and international dishes served in the Dining Room. Vegetarian options are always available. Special dietary requirements are accommodated.
Internet is available and an extensive Wi-Fi network across the campus. Students can make and receive telephone calls. There's a Village Shop for refreshments and snacks. Laundry is done for students at least once a week. 24 hour emergency contact service for Parents.
Transfers from/to Heathrow and Gatwick Airports and St Pancras International Train Station are included in the fees between 09.00 and 18.00 (10.00-17.00 for St Pancras). Students are met by Bede's Staff and Bede's Airport Coordinators provide extra care.
